Find answers for your questions

Scripture of the week

James 1:5

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

Message

Today we will be talking about how to find answers for your questions…

Let's make up an example of someone who we will call Susan who has a question about what she can do when faced with temptation.

The best thing Susan can do if pray, but God want us to also know where to find answers on our own.

Susan can pray and then proceed to use the spirit as a guide to search scriptures, talks, and other church media or doctrine.

She can use resources such as the gospel library app or the churches website to find these materials.

As she searches with the aid of the Holy Ghost she will be guided where to go and the spirit will help her identify truths to help answer her problem.

This week I want you to familiarize yourself with some of the other resources the church has to find answers to questions.

Here are some additional things you can study throughout the week…

Read/listen to a general conference talk

Look through topics and questions in the gospel library

Check out the church history tab in the gospel library

Taking care of temporal needs…

Always remember that education is an investment into yourself. If it gives you the ability to make more money it is often good, but excessive debt for education can be crippling. Never spend more than a first year salary on an education if you need loans for it. (If your occupation makes 70,000 in the first year you cannot take out more than that on a degree in loans)
