Genesis 1:27

Message 

This week we will talk about God creating us in his own image and our divine potential…

In Genesis we know that God created us to look and be like him, the purpose has always been to become like God.

We are all God's children and we have been sent to earth for a divine purpose. Just like parents here on earth want their children to grow up and become like them, God our father wants the same for us.

In Moses 1:39 it says “For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.”

And in Doctrine and Covenants 88:107 it says “And then shall the angels be crowned with the glory of his might, and the saints shall be filled with his glory, and receive their inheritance and be made equal with him”

Both these verses point towards our divine nature to become like God.

Many people do not agree with this Idea, but I can personally testify that I know our Heavenly father wants nothing more than for us to become like him.
