Moroni 7:47

“But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.”

This week I want to share a bit about charity…

As it says in Moroni, charity is the pure love of Christ. It is the love that God and Jesus have for us.

We are told that we should have charity for one another. How do we actually show charity?

Charity is more than just being kind, or serving others. It is a deep feeling and desire to be kind and serve others.

Let's say someone cuts you off on the road, if your like me you might not say anything, but in your head you are pretty upset at them.

If we had perfect charity we would not even be mad in our head. I have discipline in not yelling or saying anything bad about them, but I lack charity by not thinking the right way.

Charity is one of those things that basically Everyone need to work on and so we will need to rely on Jesus to make us whole.

Taking care of temporal needs…

Every time you get a paycheck you should do two things before anything else. First you should pay tithing of 10% and second you should save or invest a set percentage (usually 10-15%). This will make sure you keep your priorities straight and I can promise that you will have less financial struggles by doing this.

“For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.”
